Content: Hey dear adisc-community,
It's been quite a while since I posted anything here. But recently I've started writing again and I thought maybe we could create a community project together. To this end, I would like to introduce you to Mika. He's certainly a clichéd and perhaps stereotypical character, but to me he's a nice starting point for many independent episode stories. I would like to invite you to write one or two of these episodes yourself. You can include all the traits and adventures that are important to you and that you like.
To make it easy to switch back and forth between different stories, it would be great if you could stick to a few simple rules:

Write in the present tense!
Write from the all-knowing narrator's perspective!
Put the tag [Mika's life] in front of your story title!

Content: Mika Peeters
Mika Peeters is a 15-year-old boy. He lives with his parents and his two years younger sister in a small village in southern Germany. From the outside, Mika leads a happy and carefree life. He is consistently among the best in his year at school, an excellent gymnast and, although he is less proud of it, an equally skilled ballet dancer. His father, Samu, runs a successful engineering office. His mother, Marijke, is in charge of the marketing department of a candy manufacturer. And his sister, Julie, is a bright, warm-hearted girl who loves her older brother dearly. Figuratively speaking, one could say that Julie always looks up to Mika. In reality, however, things are quite different. Already at the age of 5, she was half a head taller than him.
When he was a toddler, Mika suffered from a metabolic disorder. Even though he has since overcome the condition, the effects on his immune system and his growth were considerable. At the age of 15, Mika is now 136cm tall and weighs just 30kg. His physique is more like that of a slender 10-year-old. So far, he has also been spared puberty. Unlike his male classmates, he still has his childlike features, hardly any body hair and a light voice. In addition to his brilliant mind, these are just more reasons why Mika has always been the victim of bullying at school.
So, it's hardly surprising that Mika is shy, insecure and introverted. He has no real friends, at least none his own age. He spends most of his time playing video games or daydreaming, immersed in books. Apart from school, he only really leaves the house to go to gymnastics, ballet or piano lessons. And none of these activities make his heart leap for joy. He only does it to please his mom. Even though Marijke and Samu love their two children equally, they are more concerned about Mika. He is the baby of the family. And in many ways that is meant quite literally.
Since he was 9 years old, Mika has been wearing diapers 24/7 again. For a few weeks now, since his 15th birthday to be precise, during the day he has been switched to those he can pull up and down himself again. For the night, however, he is still diapered every evening at 8pm. And because he only recently began his third attempt to finally learn to go to the toilet like a big boy on time, the condition of his pull-ups is still checked regularly and routinely by every member of the family. To this day, Mika still gets bedtime bottles and, to this day, he has never slept a single night without a pacifier.
Mika's room is a unique blend of gamer's den and toddler's refuge. A huge screen that is connected to both his PlayStation and his laptop towers on his desk. In front of it stands a velvety, papaya-colored swivel armchair in which Mika's little body can sink in completely. His bed across the room is still the same one he got when he was 6 years old, though. A canopy of fairy lights protects him and his four deeply loved cuddly toys from the darkness. Scattered around the beanbag on the floor are the books that no longer find a place on Mika's shelves alongside the proudly displayed Lego models. The playpen, in which he had to spend his time-outs whenever he got into mischief, had just recently been banished to the attic. However, Mika's dresser is still distinctively set up as a changing table.
Despite no longer dressing him every morning, Marijke still puts together his outfit for the day. On school days, she goes to great lengths to make him look like a fashion-conscious, smart young man. On weekends, holidays or vacations, however, Marijke loves to underline his role in the family. Although he always gets to wear soft and comfy clothes on days off, he rarely wears clothes that hide his diapers even in the slightest. In fact, on such days, his clothes aren't always what you would expect to see on a boy. After all, having spent his entire middle school years as a girl and hardly grown since then, Mika still has countless dresses and skirts in his wardrobe.

How does Mika's family treat him?
Why did he have a playpen for so long?
Why can't he do without his bottle or pacifier?
Why did he spend middle school as a girl?
Feel free to use one of these ideas. But it would be just as great to read a story that I might not have thought of yet!
