Content: Chains, are binding me to darkness, holding me down. I look up and see the light but I'm frozen. I close my eyes and let the shadows consume my heart again and I drift away to a familiar nightmare. And when I open my eyes again the nightmare continues, for there's no escape from the darkness around me.

Slowly day by day I feel it seeping in to my very soul dragging me deeper down and the light above gets smaller. I fear one day it will be gone, and on that day I will welcome deaths bitter sweet embrace. For it is only in death I have a chance to escape the darkness.

But in a sick way I like the darkness, and I fear walking into the light, because the darkness is all I know. After all this darkness is a creations of my twisted sadistic mind. But I still urge to get out. To be free, free of the nightmares, free from the pain, free from myself.

So I continue to reach for the light, because on the other side is an earthbound angel waiting to guide me to the light, where nightmares become sweet dreams and pain is traded for bliss. And one day, I will get out, I will walk with this angel and embrace the light, and I will smile and put the darkness behind me
