Content: OK so this is not a story but rather a minor rant. If this is not the correct place perhaps a mod can move it. This rant is about the stories section.

When someone takes the time to write a story I often times see people making comments about "good start, but..."

STOP!
Nobody has asked for your opinion about what you don't like about the plot, structure, or even the grammar. Quit your complaining about it. The author has taken the time to create something from the heart and share it with the community. If you can't say something positive just don't comment. This is not your story/artistic creation. It is theirs. Who cares if it uses perfect grammar? Or if the plot moves faster or slower than what YOU like? Again it's not yours. If you don't like it, write your own story. All the time there are good stories being put out there that end way to quickly, not because there's no more, but because the community has people writing posts that criticize the writer.
"You moved the plot too quickly, I like a slower plot..."
"Your main character is too cliche..."
"This would never happen in real life..."
"I want the side character to do ____ because it would be a good plot twist."
"Your writing style has a lot of grammar mistakes, and you should fix it."
"Why haven't you written more yet?"

As a writer these things make you want to stop writing. Don't be an ingrate. Simply enjoy the story.
