Content: Originally a story I was writing for a manga, but I modified it for you guys.
Cast:
Leon-a 22 year old alchemist. Despite alchemy being abandoned centuries ago, Leon is determined to find the universal cure. His plans are changed when a girl falls from the sky and lands in his living room.
Marcy-a mysterious girl who fell from the sky. she appears to be a normal 18 year old human, but has no memory. It's as if she is starting life all over again.
Micheal-Leon's best friend and long time alchemy partner. He lost his sister to an incurable illness, and wants to prevent other unnecessary deaths.
Mina-Leon's twin sister. She has a rare condition that has her wheelchair bound and a need for diapers 24/7. She knows Leon has the same disease that is dormant, and is preparing for the day when the symptoms start. She is excited for Leon to find the universal cure.

Monday December 2, 2035

It appears as if the universal cure is farther from my reach than previously expected. I finally managed to get the catalyst stable, but it decayed when exposed to the main compound. I will need some time to read into the ancient notes my dad left me, and will come back to the project then. Damn it, I am running out of time. Mina wants to dance so badly, and she has been in diapers so long she has become what she says is ''ab/dl''. As a scientist, I believe this to be the result of a Stockholm Syndrome-like effect with her incontinence, which as noted is worsening by the day. This condition is so mysterious. Why can't I understand it? It doesn't even have a name. I tested my blood and compared it to Mina's since we are twins. The samples where identical. How can I have the condition and be completely fine? I wish I was suffering instead of Mina. She doesn't deserve this. I wish mom and dad were still here. I'm getting off track. Journal entry 246-b closing.

Leon closed his computer. It was late, 12:30 at night to be exact. Alchemy was a hard job. 22 year old Leon had been trying for years to find the universal cure but to no avail. Sure his partner Micheal was a big help, but illness was spreading rapidly and medicine had stagnated. The Doctors were so busy with their egos that nothing was getting done. Leon was born with such intelligence. He never had to go to school. He could read the O.K.D (online knowledge database) in a day and retain all the information. His twin sister had it rough. She wasn't as lucky.

Mina was born with UD#1222xx09, one of the many unidentified illnesses running rampant in the world. This illness has her wheelchair bound with no feeling in her legs. She also needed diapers 24/7. Due to her needs, Leon took her in to his home. She needed constant care, and Leon (having completed his Doctrine and Alchemist license at 13) was more than capable of taking care of her. The twin's parents died in a car crash when the twins where 14, so she had nowhere else to go. Everyday, Leon would balance his alchemy work and meetings with the board of medicine, with the gentle and precise care his sister needed. The diaper changes were easy, it was seeing his sister sad that she couldn't dance and was not 'normal' that made him sad. When you love someone, you feel their pain.

As Leon sat deep in thought, he looked out the window to see a horrific sight. The sky was burning at night. The clouds were on fire and people took to the streets in panic. Before he knew it fire was raining from the sky, but was not causing any damage!? Holy fire! The only type of fire that doesn't damage buildings. All of a sudden, there was an ear shattering explosion, rubble flew everywhere, and there she sat in a crater of fire...in Leon's living room. The girl who fell to earth, sitting naked with her beautiful golden hair flowing in the wind. She was sent for a reason, but why? Leon would eventually find out...but for now it's a mystery.
