Content: This story is inspired by the chapter about The Changing House in the book called The Neverending Story. If you've never read it, I highly recomend it. The chapter itself is pretty AB - like, I just took the fantasy a bit further. I hope you enjoy it.
PART ONE
It took me a while to realize where I am but when I finally did there was no doubt – I was standing in front of the Changing house. And in this house, there was Dame Eyola living there. She was the person that made Bastian, the main character of the book The Neverending Story, feel like a little child and who took care of him as if he was her baby. I knew I had to go in.
When I opened the door, she was standing right in front of me. She was huge! And seemed very nice, but all of the sudden I felt very insecure. She took care of Bastian, but will she want to take care of me? Can I actually be little in front of her? Should I go to her? Will she laugh at me for acting like a child when I’m actually an adult?
For a while she was just looking at me, smiling, not saying anything. I was already about to run away when she finally started talking: “Hi my cute baby girl! Why are you standing there so nervous? Come here!”
“Ehm, baby girl?” It felt so nice and weird at the same time to hear her say those words. “Of course, that’s what you want to be, right?” She was still smiling at me encouragingly, so I slowly started to talk. “I… yes… but I’m an adult, so… I shoudn’t…” “An adult? You’re not an adult sweetie, you’re my little baby girl. Now come here.”
I slowly started walking towards her, but I had strongly mixed feelings. I really wanted to act like a child, but this was the first time someone allowed me to let go and be little and I wasn’t sure I knew how to let go. “So, does it mean that I can act childish?” “Of course! How else would you want to act?” “But… Will no one tell me to stop being so childish? Will no one laugh at me?” My voice started shaking when I said the last sentence. All the bad memories from when I was feeling little and people were annoyed from my childish behavior rushed through my head. I noticed those little sobs that wanted to get out of my throat. My eyes were watery. I knew if she’s going to be supportive now I’m definitely going to cry. “Why would anyone do such things to you, my cute baby? Of course not, you can act as childish as you want. You’re little so you have every right to act like that.”
That was it. I didn’t start crying just a little. I was crying like a proper baby. I ran into her arms, she lifted me up, sat me on her lap and hugged me and stroked my hair until I was able to calm down a bit. It felt so awesome, so fulfilling. Suddenly I felt the urge to suck my thumb as I sometimes do, but I knew I had to wait until I’m alone. But then I realized she’s ok with me acting like a baby, so maybe I could.
I looked her in the eyes and asked: “Ehm, can I…” I felt too embarrassed to even finish the sentence. “Can you what? Suck your thumb? Of course you can, baby girl! Or if you want, you can get a pacifier!” “Oh, what kind of paci? The one for babies or a big one for adults?" “Well, it’s a baby pacifier for my baby girl, but I’m sure it will be big enough for you.” She smiled at me and then showed me a pacifier that seemed to be huge! She put it in my mouth and it felt just amazing! Then I spent a while sucking it while she was rocking me.
“Aren’t you hungry, sweetheart?” Am I hungry? Actually yes, I’m starving! My mouth was full of that pacifier though, so I just nodded. “Alright. Let’s get you some food.” She took me to a room where there was a huge table and huge chairs. She left to prepare the food and I tried to climb up one of those chairs, but I failed.
When she walked in with a bowl of food and saw me struggling, she said: “Oh no, baby! That’s not your chair!” I looked around and finally saw a high chair. She lifted me up and put me in it.
I always wanted to sit in a high chair, but now that I finally got to do it, it didn’t feel great at all. It was too high and it didn’t feel stable and I felt in danger and wanted to get out of it, but I couldn’t do it on my own. Then I looked at her sitting on the regular chair and I knew what I wanted – to sit on her lap again. I wanted to tell her, but I wasn’t sure how she’d react. Maybe she’s already annoyed with my childish behavior and I should be grateful that she made food for me and not complain about where she seated me. But the desire to be wrapped in her arms again was stronger and stronger and I felt worse and worse in that high chair. I noticed that the corners of my mouth are pointing down, but I didn’t want to start crying again. She would for sure be so annoyed if she had to console me again! I felt so helpless and alone and before I could stop myself, I was sobbing again.
“Oh no! What’s wrong baby girl? You don’t like your chair?” “No!” I cried. “Oh, it’s ok. Shh, come here.” She picked me up and put me on her lap. I calmed down much quicker this time. “Ok, try this food. I think you’ll like it.” It looked yummy, but I wanted her to spoon feed me. I looked at her, feeling guilty about it. “Should I feed you? Sure sweetie, open up!” She started feeding me and the meal was awesome! I loved it so much I tried to get the spoon in my mouth before she even got close to my mouth, and the food got all over my face. After I was done eating, I realized how messy I sure look. I felt really bad and wanted to wipe my face, but I didn’t have a napkin, so I tried to wipe my mouth with my hands, but she stopped me. “No sweetie, you’ll get even messier. Let me do it.” She took me to a sink and wiped my face with a wet cloth. I felt fresh again, but also still a little bit guilty for letting her take care of me in so many aspects. I wasn’t sure how to express that though, so in the end, I just said: “Thank you. For everything.” “Aww, you’re very welcome, my cute baby girl.”
After such a good meal I started feeling a bit sleepy. “What do you want to do now, baby girl? Do you want to play?” I shook my head no. “Ok, what do you want to do then?” I thought about what we could do. I didn’t really want to move too much, because I was too full. And I wanted to stay in her embrace for as long as I possibly could. Then I figured out what I wanted. “Can you please read me a fairy tale? Please?” She smiled. “Of course, no problem. Just wait here and I’ll get some book.” She put me down, but I didn’t want her to leave me. Not even for a little while. She started walking to the next room, but I held her hand. “You want to go with me?” I was very insecure. Maybe I should give her some space. Maybe she’s getting mad. But I want to be with her! Without even realizing it, I put my fingers in my mouth. I looked at her desperately and nodded. “Oh, you’re so cute! Of course you can go with me. Come on then!”
I followed her, holding her hand while still having my fingers of my other hand in my mouth. She let me pick a book, sat on a sofa and put me on her lap. Then she put a pacifier in my mouth, which I appreciated a lot, and started reading. She had such a calming voice. The story was very interesting and I really wanted to listen to it, but her voice and a full belly made me so sleepy I just couldn’t resist falling asleep anymore. I could feel her lift me up, change my clothes and put me into something really soft and comfortable, but that’s the last thing I could remember.

Content: Danke Tina, das freut mich Well, I think you should definitelly try to write some stories if you feel like you would like to do that. I know I would love to read more stories that are more about the sweetness of this part of us and not just all about diapers and humiliation. (Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about these kind of stories, but I presonally prefer imagining myself in the cute and loving situations and I feel like there are not enough stories like that.)

Content: When I woke up I felt so comfortable I didn’t even want to move. I started looking around and realized I was in a crib! I looked at what I was wearing and it was a white onesie with little sleeping sheeps on it. It was so cute and made me feel really cute and happy.
But after a while I wanted to get out and go find mommy. I sat up, then stood up and realized that I was trapped! The crib was too big for me to get out of on my own. I looked around the room, which the changing house turned into a lovely nursery, but mommy wasn’t there.
What if she isn’t in the changing house? What if she got sick of me and left me here? There was no way for me to get out and take care of myself now. I was scared and needed someone to console me, because I couldn’t calm down on my own, but mommy wasn’t there. Mommy left. This time I didn’t even get a chance to think about whether or not I wanted to start crying. I just started sobbing desperately and screaming on top of my lungs: “Mommy! Mommy!!”
After what felt like eternity but was probably really only two or three minutes she rushed through the door. “What happened, baby girl? Did something scare you? Aww, did you think I wasn’t there? Poor baby, come here.” I couldn’t say anything. I couldn’t even nod. I just stretched my arms in her direction and she picked me up. I wrapped my arms and legs around her tightly and she stroke my back. “Shh, it’s all good now. Mommy’s here. I didn’t leave you even for a minute, I was right next door cleaning up, you know? Aww, it’s ok, you’re safe.” I was still crying for good couple of minutes, but I slowly calmed down.
“So, what should we put you in?” She showed my some cute clothes. I picked a lovely dress and some frilly socks. She also put some onesie under the dress so I don’t get cold. Then she did my hair and put a cute big bow in it. I looked in the mirror. I never looked so adorable in my adult life. I felt very happy and ready to play.
When I told mommy, she said: “Well, let’s see what the changing house prepared for you.” We walked to the next room and sure enough, it was full of adult sized toys. Or maybe they were baby sized and it was me who was little. I couldn’t tell anymore.
I was so excited to go through all the toys and see what I can do with them. When mommy saw me being happy playing on my own, she decided to go cook. When she told me, I was a little unsure about it. I didn’t want to feel abandoned as I did just a while ago. “It’s ok, baby girl. I’ll be right in the next room. And I’ll leave the door open, so you can see me the whole time.” I still didn’t know what to think, but then I decided it was ok. And I also really wanted to try the rocking horse.
I climbed on it and started rocking. At first I was a little shocked by how much it was rocking. “Oh, no,” I said, feeling a little surprised. I looked at mommy. She was looking at me, making sure I’m alright. When she saw everything was fine, she smiled at me. I calmed down quickly because I knew mommy was looking after me. Instead of being scared, I started rocking even more. It was so much fun!
Then I saw a big ball and decided I wanted to try to climb on it. First few times I failed. Then I kind of climbed on the top, but then there were no limbs touching the floor and I rolled off of it and landed on my butt. It didn’t really hurt too much, so I wasn’t sure whether I should start crying or not. Then I remembered how nice it felt to be consoled by mommy and that she actually wasn’t paying attention to me much and I just started crying. It wasn’t too hard because I was in my little space very much, but it was a bit forced.
Mommy rushed to me. “Oh, no! Sweetheart, did you fall? Oh, poor baby.“ She picked me up and I calmed down quickly, because I wasn’t really hurt. After I enjoyed her attention, I started feeling bad about crying for no good reason. I decided to apologize. “Mommy, I’m sorry for crying so much. Please don’t be mad at me.” “Sweetie, you’re a baby! Of course you cry a lot, that’s how you communicate with me! Tell me, did you cry just so that I would hold you?” I flushed and nodded. “It’s ok baby, but next time you can just tell me you want to cuddle. You don’t need to cry.” I nodded again and smiled. Then she played with me for a little bit and it was already time for dinner.
Mommy made me a delicious meal again, only this time I was ready to sit in the high chair on my own. I felt really proud of myself, even more so when my mommy praised me for being a brave girl. This time she put a big bib on me so I would not get my cute dress all dirty and she spoon fed me again. After I was finished and she cleaned me up, I was full, but I did not feel tired at all. I wanted to play some more.
I told my mommy and she was nice enough to let me stay awake for a bit longer. She brought some puzzles and helped me do them and she praised me each time I did something right. It made me feel so happy I totally forgot about everything else and just enjoyed myself. I even clapped my hands when I found some matching pieces. Slowly my head started getting heavy and I was rubbing my eyes, but I did not want to stop playing yet.
“Sweetie, it is time to go to bed. You are getting tired.” “But I don’t wanna go!” I started being a bit grumpy. “I know darling, but you are a little girl and need to get enough sleep, you know?” “Hmm, but this is fun and I wanna do some more puzzles.” “Well, how about some cuddling?” I felt like she wanted to trick me to fall asleep, but I couldn’t help myself – cuddling sounded so good.
She picked me up and started walking with me slowly. She felt so warm and soft and safe. And then she started singing to me in a beautiful gentle voice. I looked her in the eyes and kept looking for as long as I could keep my eyes opened. I don’t even know how I fell asleep but I was completely happy.
When I woke up and started to look around, I realized I wasn’t in a crib. I actually wasn’t even in the changing house. I was in my adult bed, in my adult home, in my adult life. But for the rest of the day, I felt fuzzy and warm from the beautiful dream.

Content: Thank you for the positive feedback, it just made my day brighter
I'm actually not from Germany, I just spent a year there. But I was hoping to make you smile.
I also wasn't sure if my english would be good enough, and on top of that, I just feel like english is not the best language for writing little stories. Don't get me wrong, I love english! It's a very interesting language, and very useful. But there is not much you can do to make the words sound cuter, to make the reader feel little. You can say dog or doggie, horse or horsie, but that's about it. While in me native language you can do that pretty much with any word, and you can change it in so many ways so one word can give you 10 different feelings. So that's something I always struggle with when posting something here. I don't know if anybody feels the same way. I know german also has more options then english to make things sound cuter. (schatz, schätzchen) But english is the language that connects people from all over the world, so that's what we have to work with.
