MOMENT OF TRUTH
There I was a fifteen year old and still wetting my bed. Every now and then I would awake in a soaked bed. I had a rubber sheet on my bed ever since I can remember. Here I was calling my Mother as she told me to do when I was ready to go to bed so that she could come to my room and "get me dressed for bed". As she entered my room she told me to take off my shorts and underwear as she went to the bureau and took out my diapers and picked up the diaper pins from the basket on top.
Mom then told me to stand up on my bed so that she could put my diapers on me for the night. I argued with her but she said I knew that anytime that I wet my bed two nights in a row she would put diapers on me until I had a dry night. Tonight she added the ultimate. She said "if you wet your bed tonight I am going to go find rubber pants for you". This was a stunning statement. I almost froze solid. The worst thing that could happen happened, I never wet my bed again until much later when I retrained myself to be a bedwetter again.
